Thanksgiving and Christmukkah Service Opportunity!

Good morning Maccabis past and present and friends and family,

Once again as we have done in past, the Boston Maccabis are supporting two critically important causes around the holidays and its all hands on deck to help those less fortunate this time of year. Please take a look at the two service/pledge opportunities below and try to pitch in in the way that you feel is most appropriate for you. Also please forward this on to anyone else in the Maccabi family that may want to be involved!

***BOSTON CITY COUNCILOR TITO JACKSON’S ANNUAL TURKEY GIVEAWAY!!**

Boston Maccabi Rugby continues to be a proud partner of Boston City Councilor Tito Jackson’s Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway. This annual event gives a Thanksgiving turkey and side dishes to needy families throughout Boston. This year, we have pledged to buy as many side dishes as we can. A combo of sides (potatoes, stuffing, and cranberry sauce) is approximately $20. Please consider pledging money for as many as you can afford. Smaller donations are appreciated too – so please do whatever is right. You will receive a link to pay via PayPal if you choose to pledge on this form.

We also need volunteers to package and give out food THIS SUNDAY, at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury at 12PM. This is a great moment to don your Maccabi Rugby gear and make our presence felt. I hope you can join – you can sign up below.

***SMART FROM THE START CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE***

Boston Maccabi Rugby is also once again a proud to partner with Smart from the Start for their Christmas Toy Drive for children in need. The past two years, the Maccabis have delivered thousands of dollars of toys for kids, and it is our hope that this year will be no different. $20 buys a toy for a child that will make their holiday season a bit brighter. Smart from the Start is a fantastic organization that supports parents in Boston with services that promote school readiness for their children and community engagement. Again, we ask you to pledge whatever feels appropriate for you – there will also be in-person service opportunities announced on this at a later date.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO. We are grateful.

Yalla Maccabi!
